We’re having a makeover!

Hi there – Alina here.

We are having a makeover for our shiny new Genetics for Kids series that is out in the Autumn. A lovely man called Neil has made us a bit more cute and cuddly. We are all really pleased!

Here are our “before” and “after” shots. What do you think? You are welcome to comment below.

To kick off the series and to celebrate Wear Yellow Day organised by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust,  I am going to explain Cystic Fibrosis to you.

That’s an explanation from the point of view of the Dinky Amigos that make up your DNA. We have been known to cause a few problems with the health of some of our people and it’s time we explained ourselves. It’s important to understand that we don’t do this on purpose.

As your personal Dinky Amigos, we are only trying to help you live as long as you can. In fact, a lot of these diseases started out as ways to protect you from other, even nastier diseases.

In case you can’t wait a full four months for the book, though, you can start reading the serialisation here (illustrations by Lucy Gilbert)
